Ha Tinh requests to host phase 1 of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship

The Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) is calculating the professional plan for the 2026 National Championship and some units have proposed to host it.

According to Lao Dong's research, Ha Tinh has applied to host the first phase of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship. However, some units also expressed this wish and the decision has not been made final.

Currently, Ha Tinh Provincial Gymnasium is organizing the final round of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament. In this tournament, the Ha Tinh men's team participated with the goal of winning a promotion to the 2026 National Championship.

The last time Ha Tinh organized a round of the National Championship was in 2024. At that time, Ha Tinh Provincial Gymnasium held the matches of the first group stage.

The volleyball manager of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the volleyball department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) are developing a plan to organize the 2026 National Championship. In the immediate future, it is proposed that the tournament will continue to compete in 2 stages like in 2025.

However, next year, the units will also participate in volleyball at the 10th National Sports Festival - 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the 2026 National Championship competition program must be organized appropriately and ensure professional preparation for the teams.

If nothing changes, the first phase of the 2026 National Championship will take place in late March and early April 2026. After that, the second phase of the tournament returned in October 2026.

Previously, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports issued a plan to organize the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026 with the time being November 2026. The 2026 National Volleyball Championship still has 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams participating.
