The group stage matches of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Championship finals ended late on October 28 to determine the final quarter-final spots.
In the women's event, the early quarterfinal matches will include Hanoi - Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen - Youth of the Information Corps, Quang Ninh - Youth of VTV Binh Dien Long An and Bac Ninh - Hai Phong.
Therefore, the results of the final matches on October 28 in the group stage including Quang Ninh 3-0 Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen 3-0 Phu Tho no longer have much meaning in competing for a quarter-final spot.
In the men's event, on the final day, the Ho Chi Minh City team won 3-0 against the Mobile Police Command to ensure a complete victory.
Coach Huynh Van Tuan's team ranked first in their group, with a place in the semi-finals and was also considered capable of competing for the championship.
Together with the Ho Chi Minh City men's team, some teams have won quarter-finals such as Military Region 3, Binh Duong Construction Materials, Vinh Long, Ha Tinh.
Experts say that the teams that are capable of competing for the championship will be determined to compete in the quarter-finals. Currently, the leading candidates with enough opportunities to enter the final after performing well in the group stage are Hanoi, Quang Ninh (women), Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong Construction Materials, Ha Tinh (men).
The quarter-finals for men and women will be played on October 29 and 30. After that, the semi-finals of the tournament will be held on October 31. The two finals for men and women will take place on November 1.
The regulations of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament stipulate that the male and female champions will receive promotion to participate in the 2026 National Championship.
The first quarter-final matches will take place on October 29: Ha Tinh - Military Region 3 (16:00 men), Hanoi - Phu Tho (18:00 women), Thai Nguyen - Youth of the Information Corps (20:00 women).
