Two pillars of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team compete impressively in Japan

Bich Thuy and Thanh Thuy both played impressively at the Japanese volleyball tournament, creating a good momentum before returning to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

Tran Thi Bich Thuy was a name that attracted attention in Japan on November 30 when she had an impressive performance to help Okayama Seagulls club win 3-1 against Denso Airybees.

Just one day after his unsatisfactory debut with a 0-3 defeat for his team, the 1998-born middle blocker played much more effectively, scoring 12 points and contributing significantly to helping the Seagulls get their "debts back".

This is only Okayama Seagulls' second victory in the SV.League 2025-2026, but Bich Thuy's excellent performance is considered a positive signal at the time she is preparing to return to join the Vietnam women's volleyball team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

In the match taking place at the same time, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy also had a successful day when she and Gunma Green Wings club defeated Toray Arrows with a score of 3-1.

Gunma quickly won the first two sets with a score of 25-16, 25-22, but had difficulty in the third set when there were personnel changes. However, they managed to regain their rhythm in set 4 to close the match.

In this match, the main striker Thanh Thuy scored 16 points, continuing to maintain stable performance to help Gunma increase their winning streak to 6 and maintain 5th place on the rankings.

The fact that Bich Thuy and Thanh Thuy played well in the final matches before leaving Japan is considered a positive preparation for the Vietnam team.

Both are expected to be in Vietnam right after this round to gather with the whole team, aiming to compete for gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games taking place in Thailand next December.
