Phu Tho - The locality plans to upgrade the new Sports Complex, expand Viet Tri Stadium to 35,000 seats, towards international standards.

In response to the news that Viet Tri Stadium will be completely upgraded, many people expressed their joy when Phu Tho is about to own a facility that can host major sports tournaments in the continent.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung (Vinh Yen ward, Phu Tho province) said: "This is very good news for me and football lovers."

According to him, the expansion of Viet Tri Stadium and upgrading of functional rooms, stands... to meet many requirements of the World Football Federation is necessary for Phu Tho province to aim to host large-scale sports events.

That will not only help people soon access top-notch sports but also improve their spiritual life and meet long-standing aspirations.

With the goal of becoming a center for organizing national and international sports and cultural events and a destination for high-performance sports tournaments nationwide in the coming time, Phu Tho province will upgrade the entire new Sports Complex. In particular, Viet Tri Stadium is expected to be upgraded to a capacity of 35,000 seats to better meet international standards.

According to the reporter's records in early October, the Viet Tri Stadium currently has a capacity of nearly 20,000 seats and is the home stadium of Xuan Thien Phu Tho Football Club competing in the Sao Vang Beer National First Division in 2025 - 2026.

From the perspective of the manager, Head Coach of Xuan Thien Phu Tho Club Le Quoc Vuong shared: "I am really happy because when the stadium is completed, Phu Tho will have an international standard stadium. A beautiful tournament with quality grass and good competition conditions will also help the teams competing here improve a lot in terms of professional quality, contributing to promoting the further development of Vietnamese football".

With basic facilities to meet international requirements, this place is becoming an award-winning "fortress" of the Vietnam National Teams with a series of unbeaten achievements in 7 official international competitions taking place in the Land of the Hung Kings.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ha - Director of the Center for Management and Exploitation of Sports Instructions of Phu Tho province said that according to the province's policy in the next 1 to 2 years, Viet Tri Stadium will be comprehensively upgraded to 35,000 seats, functional rooms and stands will be installed with a row of hard chairs with 100% roofs.

In addition, the provincial Sports Exercise and Competition Houses and swimming pools of Phu Tho province will also undergo major repairs and new air conditioning systems to better meet international standards.

Phu Tho's choice to organize international tournaments and major sporting events in the region in recent times has created festivals and a vibrant atmosphere across the homeland of Dat To.

Thereby, not only meeting the people's enjoyment needs but also continuing to affirm the prestige and responsibility in organizing large-scale regional and international sports events in Phu Tho province.
