After Becamex TPHCM officially dropped out of the league, coach Hua Hien Vinh frankly acknowledged the difficulties that the team encountered in the process of preparing and operating the season.
He said: "Actually, when I came here, I really wanted to start acting, but the reasons for the current results are very difficult to assess in detail. I think that the preparation from the beginning of the season has had some problems, specifically from the personnel selection stage. That is also over, and at this point we are forced to accept the'patchwork' situation.
According to this coach, the lack of personnel conditions makes it difficult for the team to rotate forces, especially in the decisive stage.
He added: "Like today's match, we wanted to bring in foreign players to strengthen the attack but did not have enough conditions to be included in the starting lineup. You have played your best in the past matches, and in this match you have also tried very hard. I sincerely thank you for not giving up even though the result was very disadvantageous. I believe that not only me but also leaders and fans can see how hard you have tried until the last moments.
Regarding his current task, coach Hua Hien Vinh said that he was transferred from the youth team to support the first team in the final stage of the season and will return to professional work after the season ends. He also left open the possibility of continuing to participate in the team's rebuilding plan if he receives trust from the leadership.
Regarding the mixed opinions about taking on the task in the context of the team's crisis, he shared: "Many people ask why I dare to take on this task when the team is in a difficult situation and easily gets a bad reputation, but I think this is a game, if I dare to take it, there is nothing to fear.
He added: "I personally consider this a valuable experience to move forward in the future, so I am not too concerned. I do not need to defend myself about the past four matches. Those who understand football will naturally understand, and those who do not understand and say anything are fine. That is my point of view. Once you have stepped up to this position, there is nothing to be afraid of anymore.
Regarding the force, especially the group of young players and key players, he said that the club will work specifically with each case based on personal wishes and the development orientation of the team. The club president will directly exchange information to make appropriate decisions.
At the end of the season, coach Hua Hien Vinh apologized to fans for not completing the relegation goal, and expressed his desire for the team to return to the highest level soon.
Despite winning against Hoang Anh Gia Lai 3-1 in the final round, Becamex TPHCM still had to be relegated when Da Nang and PVF-CAND both achieved favorable results in matches at the same time. All three teams have 24 points, but Becamex TPHCM is disadvantaged in direct head-to-head goal difference, so they are at the bottom of the group and are relegated.
Meanwhile, Da Nang successfully stayed in the league, and PVF-CAND won the right to play-off with Bac Ninh FC.
