Tonight (November 10), the Indonesian futsal team and the Vietnamese futsal team will face each other in the final match of the 2024 Southeast Asian futsal tournament. Before this match, Indonesian coach Hector Souto gave his assessment of the Vietnamese futsal team.
Mr. Hector Souto has been involved with Vietnamese futsal for a while when he worked at Thai Son Nam Club. He also took on the position of assistant coach of the Vietnamese futsal team at the 2016 World Cup and coach of the Vietnamese U20 futsal team. Therefore, he believes that this understanding will be an advantage for him and the Indonesian players in the final match.
"All my students are special to me. Because we have experienced very beautiful moments together. Understanding them is a strength for me and the Indonesian team.
I know what they can do in both ways (attack - defense), so that helps me a lot in preparing for the match. I like them as friends and as players, but I hope we can win," coach Hector Souto shared.
Regarding the most notable player of the Vietnamese futsal team, coach Hector Souto commented: "Gia Hung is very young and a very good player. The others are also young and good but cannot be compared to him."
The Spanish strategist said he could not imagine any other outcome than a victory. Indonesia was ready to face any situation and prepared for the match in the most detailed way so as not to be surprised.
However, he was also surprised by the young players of the Vietnamese futsal team. He said: "The Vietnamese team at the tournament has a lot of young players. I am very surprised that they can participate in this tournament. I expected some players to be more professional, but if coach Diego Giustozzi chooses them, maybe those individuals are ready."
The final match of the 2024 Southeast Asian futsal tournament between the Indonesian futsal team and the Vietnamese futsal team will take place at 6:00 p.m. tonight (November 10).
