According to Decision No. 1249, Mr. Dinh Van Dung - coach of U19 Ha Tinh team was fined 7.5 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 6 matches for infringing upon the referee's body. The incident occurred in the match between U19 Song Lam Nghe An and U19 Ha Tinh on December 27, 2025.
The VFF Disciplinary Committee determined that Mr. Dinh Van Dung's actions were serious, violating disciplinary regulations, affecting the image of the tournament as well as the refereeing work. According to current regulations, this coach has the right to complain to the VFF Complaint Resolution Board if he does not agree with the penalty.
Also related to the above match, Decision No. 1250 of the VFF Disciplinary Committee clearly states the sanctioning of Mr. Nguyen Anh Cuong - assistant coach of the U19 Ha Tinh team. Mr. Cuong was fined 1.25 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 2 matches due to reacting to the referee while playing.
Not only handling reactions and infringement of referees, VFF has also continuously issued strict disciplinary actions to rectify the organization and competition at the National U19 Championship. Previously, two players Tran Quang Duy and Truong Phu Quy of the U19 Be Tong 26 team were fined 3.75 million VND each and suspended from competition until the end of the tournament for playing beyond their ability, seriously affecting the fairness of the tournament.
In addition, players Tran Trieu Anh Khoa, Dinh Duy Bao and goalkeeper Nguyen Cong Thuan (U19 Be Tong 26) were also fined 2.5 million VND and suspended from playing for the next 5 matches for the same violation.
The consecutive decisions of the Disciplinary Committee show that VFF is showing a resolute stance in protecting the integrity of youth tournaments, and at the same time deterring unsportsmanlike acts, contributing to preserving the image of Vietnamese football.
