On December 28, the People's Committee of Bac Gianh ward (Quang Tri province) said that 3 people in the area had just promptly rescued 2 mothers and children and 1 student traveling with them in an accident.
Previously, at about 9:30 pm on December 25th, Ms. Hoang Thi Thu was driving a motorbike carrying her child and a classmate, a 7th grade student of Ba Don Secondary School, when passing through the microbial canal section of Gia Hy bridge, Bac Gianh ward, an accident unfortunately occurred. All 3 people fell into the canal in the middle of a heavy rainy night, cold weather, life-threatening.
At this time, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vien and his son Nguyen Van Ngoc, residing in Minh Phuong residential group, Bac Gianh ward, were on their way home from their maternal grandparents' house when they discovered unusual signs under the canal. Without hesitation, the two father and son stopped the car and jumped into the water to save people.
Because the canal slope is almost vertical, the water is deep and flowing strongly, approaching the victims is difficult.
After that, Mr. Vien and his son successively brought Ms. Thu and 2 young children to the edge of the canal. Immediately after that, Mr. Ngo Ba Van, residing in Tien Phong residential group, Ba Don ward, promptly arrived and supported to bring the victims ashore safely.
The brave actions of 3 men on a cold rainy night promptly saved 3 lives, leaving a beautiful image of the spirit of responsibility, kindness and noble gestures in everyday life.
