On the afternoon of June 14, at Ninh Binh Arena, Phu Dong Ninh Binh club closed the penultimate match of the season with a convincing 3-0 victory over Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc.
This is not just a simple victory, but also a brilliant mark on the day the team officially lifted the 2024-2025 National First Division championship trophy.
Under the enthusiastic cheers of the home audience, Coach Nguyen Viet Thang and his team performed their overwhelming style of play. The goals were scored by Do Thanh Thinh (minute9) and a double by Le Minh Binh (minutes 65 and 90), in which captain Nguyen Hoang Duc left his mark with a classy assist.
Right after the final whistle, the coronation ceremony was solemnly held between the flag and the endless applause of fireworks. This is the first time Phu Dong Ninh Binh has won the First Division championship and won the right to play in the V.League next season.
In the 2024-2025 First Division, coach Nguyen Viet Thang's team maintained impressive form when winning 18 matches, drawing 1 and not losing any match since the beginning of the season.
In the final match of the season, Phu Dong Ninh Binh will face Dong Thap on June 21.
