On June 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province coordinated with the Vietnam Skeeper and roller Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National roller Sports Cup Championship in Vung Tau City.
The tournament has nearly 170 athletes from 9 units nationwide participating, including famous athletes such as Duong Truong Lap (the only representative of Vietnam participating in the Winter Olympics in Harbin - China); Huynh Thi Cam Ly (HCMC's record-breaking slide)...
Athletes will compete in Speed Patin (with 26 events divided by age and distance); Art Patin (14 events by age and level); Slideboarding (4 events), taking place until June 15.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is a new sport that has developed in a short time, but has received the attention of young people in recent times. Every slide, every acceleration, every rotation on shoes, and skis of this sport is a challenge of endurance, balance and the spirit to conquer the limits of athletes, thereby attracting the experience of young people in this sport.
Through the tournament, it not only creates opportunities for young athletes to compete, but also opportunities for exchanging and learning experiences; promoting the image of sports tourism in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. At the same time, develop a nationwide practice and competition movement for roller Sports, select excellent athletes to the national team to participate in international tournaments.
In parallel, the Organizing Committee also organized a national referee training course with World Skate experts guiding, in order to standardize the management work, and prepare for international arenas in the coming time.
