This year, the 2025 international championship chess tournament - Phuong Trang Cup has a total prize of up to 56,200 USD.
The final match is the match between Nguyen Thanh Bao and Chinese chess player Xu Wen Zhang (Hua Van Chuong). The two sides begin to compete in the first match, which is the standard chess.
The Vietnamese player maintained his advantage when starting the match first. With his composure, Nguyen Thanh Bao looked for opportunities for Xu Wen Zhang to defend.
However, the Chinese opponent played calculatedly and kept troops in important situations. The standard match ended in a draw.
The two players continued to compete in a quick chess game to decide the winner and loser.

This player focused on gaining the advantage of eating troops on the table so that Nguyen Thanh Bao fell into a disadvantageous position. Although cautious with effective moves, the representative of Vietnam lost at the decisive moment.
Chess player Xu Wen Zhang won the rapid chess match, and also won the overall championship.
At the tournament, the Organizing Committee ranked the players from 1st to 30th, based on their competition achievements.
