In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21,25 - June 21, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association coordinated with Saigon Business Magazine to organize the Sports Festival "People working in Ho Chi Minh City Journalists". This is a meaningful sporting and exchange event, contributing to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and connecting the press community in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities.
The 2025 sports festival recorded a strong change when pickleball was first included in the competition program, in addition to tennis, which has been held annually for many consecutive years in the press.
On the morning of June 11, the organizing committee conducted a draw and packed up the main events, officially launching a series of exciting sports activities.
Tennis continues to be the focus, attracting more than 100 athletes who are journalists, editors, and technicalists from central and local press agencies. The matches took place on June 14 and 15 at Hoang Thien tennis court cluster (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City).
Athletes will compete in 4 events including men's leadership - journalism doubles (over 50 years old), men's journalism doubles (under 45 years old), journalism - business doubles, men's women's doubles (over 45 years old).
Meanwhile, the pickleball event is also predicted to be equally attractive with 5 competition events, including: male journalist couple over 45 years old, male journalist couple under 45 years old, male - female journalist couple, male journalist couple - business couple, women couple.
