Responding to the rapidly developing sports movement in the city, the Da Nang Department of Finance Trade Union has just successfully organized the "Department of Finance Pickleball Award". The event attracted 40 athletes who are civil servants and public employees from the Department of Finance, the Business Support Center, the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Research, and the City Development Investment Fund, to enhance exchanges and improve health.
The tournament took place in an exciting atmosphere, featuring exciting and dramatic matches. This success once again affirms the appeal of Pickleball, a " Tet" sport between tennis, table tennis and badminton, which is becoming a fever in Da Nang.
Previously, in early March 2025, the People's Committee of Da Nang City allowed the establishment of the City Pickleball Federation. This is an important step forward, creating a foundation for a professional development movement, spreading widely in the community, from civil servants, people to the school environment.
Pickleball was born in 1965 in the US and quickly spread globally thanks to its simple, accessible rules and suitability for many ages. The pioneering organization of the tournament by agencies and units such as the Department of Finance not only creates a useful playground but also contributes to promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, building a dynamic and healthy lifestyle in the city's community of cadres and civil servants.
