The home team entered the game proactively and soon had the opening goal in the 5th minute. From Hoang Hen's cross from the right wing, Xuan Son unleashed a beautiful volley that defeated the Myanmar goalkeeper.

In the second half, the Vietnamese team continued to maintain the overwhelming game. In the 59th minute, Hoang Hen made his mark with a dangerous low shot to increase the score to 3-0. In injury time, Dinh Bac earned a penalty after being fouled in the penalty area, and also caused the Myanmar player to receive a second yellow card and leave the field. From the 11m spot, this striker finished accurately, sealing a 4-0 victory for the home team.
After the match, goalkeeper Le Giang Patrik shared his emotion when he first wore the Vietnamese national team jersey.

This is really great. I enjoyed my first match. This is a very special day because my dream has come true. Thank you everyone," Le Giang Patrik said.
This goalkeeper also emphasized that the team's biggest goal is to aim for the ASEAN Cup 2026 championship.
The most important thing is that we won. The whole team has had about a month of training together and I believe Vietnam can successfully defend the ASEAN Cup championship," he affirmed.
Meanwhile, Hoang Hen - the player who scored the third goal for the Vietnamese team expressed his joy when he scored for the first time in the national team jersey.
I am very happy to score my first goal today. I am very proud. The most important thing is that today the team won and had a good match to prepare for the ASEAN Cup," Hoang Hen shared.
This player assessed that the Vietnamese team is possessing a deep force with many quality factors such as Tai Loc, Xuan Son, Dinh Bac, Hai Long and many young players with great potential.
We have many good players. The whole team is training very hard and will try our best," Hoang Hen said.
