On the morning of March 29, at the special national relic on the banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai (Quang Tri province), the Flag-raising ceremony was solemnly held, attracting thousands of participants.
This is an activity within the framework of the National Marathon Championship organized by Quang Tri province in coordination with Tien Phong Newspaper, towards the 50th anniversary of the complete Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province - affirmed that the land of Quang Tri has steadfastly gone down in history with famous landmarks such as Quang Tri Imperial Citadel, Hien Luong - Ben Hai Doi, Doi 9 - Khe Sanh... This is a place that witnessed the great sacrifice and loss of many generations, and is also a symbol of the desire for eternal peace.
Organizing the Flag-raising Ceremony at the special national relic site on both banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai within the framework of Tien Phong Marathon 2025 further increases the spiritual value of the tournament. This is a journey of gratitude to the past, arousing national pride in each participating athlete.

This year's National Marathon and Long-Distance Championship of Tien Phong Newspaper brings together more than 7,000 athletes from all over the country, not only a sports playground but also an opportunity to promote the image of the homeland, people and culture of Quang Tri to domestic and international friends.
On July 20, 1954, the Geneve Agreement was signed, dividing the country into two regions, the South and the North, taking Line 17 of the Ben Hai River as the boundary. Hien Luong Bridge at that time became a painful symbol of the pain of separation of the country for 21 years (1954 1975) and the desire for unity.
