The Vietnam Volleyball Federation has just announced the prize level for the teams participating in the 33rd SEA Games, creating more motivation before the tournament.
Accordingly, domestic men's/women's volleyball teams will receive 200 million VND if they complete the target and up to 1 billion VND if they win the gold medal.
For beach volleyball, the prize money is 50 million VND for any medal and 200 million VND for the gold medal. This is considered a significant encouragement, helping athletes feel more confident when competing in Thailand.
In addition to the award ceremony, the sports industry also adjusted the target for the women's volleyball team from the gold medal to the silver medal ( striving for the final), to reduce pressure and avoid the players falling into a state of excessive stress.
However, the Vietnamese women's team is still highly appreciated with a stable force such as Thanh Thuy, Bich Thuy (currently playing abroad), along with familiar faces such as Nhu Quynh, Le Thanh Thuy, Khanh Dang and Kim Thanh.
In the men's event, the domestic volleyball team aims to defend the bronze medal won at the previous SEA Games.
Meanwhile, the two teams of the men's and women's beach volleyball teams are aiming to win the bronze medal. Previously, women's beach volleyball also brought home a bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
With clear prize money, specific goals and caution in adjusting pressure, Vietnamese volleyball is expected to have a more stable and effective 33rd SEA Games.
