On July 3, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a Decision allowing the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation.
The decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs recorded 4 specific articles. In which Article 2 detailed: "The Vietnam Pickleball Federation is a socio-professional organization, organized and operating under the Charter approved by the Minister of Home Affairs, in compliance with the provisions of law, subject to state management by the Ministry of Home Affairs, management by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and relevant ministries and sectors related to the field of operation of the Federation.
The Vietnam Pickleball Federation has legal status, seals and private accounts, and self-guarantees funding, headquarters and means of operation.
After the Decision allowing the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation, preparations for the first term Congress are being built to be expected to take place at the end of July 2026.
In September 2025, the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation was established with 14 members (1 Head of Committee, 1 Deputy Head, 12 members).
In which, Mr. Le Van Thanh (Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company) is the Head of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Pickleball Federation.
Previously, Mr. Le Van Thanh used to hold the role of Chairman of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation.
