Information from the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam - UK Football Festival (VUFF 2025) on the evening of June 26, legend Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, due to international flight problems, could not arrive in time to attend the Fan Fest night on June 26 as planned.
The organizers said that they will work with fans who have bought tickets to discuss the issue and have a satisfactory answer.
In addition, according to the Organizing Committee, these two legends will still be fully present in the super League match on June 27 and Fan Zone June 28 as originally planned.
"We have received an official video from Giggs and Scholes, in which they express their regret and apologize to the Vietnamese audience with all respect" - VUFF 2025 Organizing Committee announced.
The VUFF 2025 Organizing Committee affirmed that all main activities of the event will still take place fully, in accordance with the spirit of the Vietnam - UK Football Festival.
The participation of the remaining legends, along with a series of performances, exchanges, signings, music... are still being carefully prepared.
Within the framework of the Vietnam - UK Football Festival 2025, legendary Manchester United players including: Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Teddy Sheringham, Wes Brown and Dwight Yorke will join the players of the Vietnamese representative team including: Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Hai Long, Nguyen Hoang Duc to participate in the "Classic Manchester Reds and Vietnam All Stars" on the evening of June 27 at Hoa Xuan Stadium (Da Nang).
