Before welcoming the stars of Manchester United Football Club, Hoa Xuan Stadium was completed in time for upgrading and renovation.
The grass surface has been planted and colored very beautifully. The natural grass planted on the field is the premium Zeon Zoysia, which is exclusively for football and has achieved ITGAP certification.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang - said that the Vietnam - UK Football Festival with the theme "Legendary Red" will contribute to promoting tourism and sports connectivity between the two countries. In particular, it will create a premise for the development of international sports tourism in the future of Da Nang.
Accordingly, Hoa Xuan Stadium has a capacity of about 20,000 seats, built on an area of over 66,500m2, and put into use in 2016.
In June 2024, Da Nang City approved a project to renovate and upgrade the stadium and campus with an investment of more than 11 billion VND.
Currently, Hoa Xuan Stadium has completed preparations for the match between Vietnamese stars and the legendary Manchester United team.
Notably, within the framework of the Vietnam - UK Football Festival 2025, legendary Manchester United players including: Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Teddy Sheringham, Wes Brown and Dwight Yorke will join the players of the Vietnamese representative team including: Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Hai Long, Nguyen Hoang Duc and Nguyen Van Vi to participate in the "Classical Manchester Reds and Vietnam All Stars" on the evening of June 27, 2025.
In addition, the series of activities in the Festival also include Da Nang Downtown The Red Dream Fan Fest: Talkshow and exchange with legends; The Red Dream Fan Zone Meet & Greet with legends and pickleball exchanges, charity activities...
According to the Organizing Committee, the 2025 Vietnam - UK Football Festival will take place from June 26-28, 2025 in Da Nang City with the theme "Legendary Red Color - The Red Dream".
The event was organized under the direction of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, with the support of the Embassy of the UK in Vietnam and the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City.
