According to confirmation from the head of FAT, Advanced Info Service Plc (AIS), Gulf Energy Development Plc (GULF) and Jasmine International Plc (JAS) have acquired the right to broadcast Thai football for the next 4 years under a deal worth 2 billion Baht (more than 1,400 billion VND).
According to Madam Pang, the deal also comes with a two-year extension clause. The deal will take effect for the first four years, starting in the 2025-2026 season.
The deal will ensure coverage of all of Thailand's top-level football matches from Thai League 1, 2, 3; FA Cup, League Cup, U21 League and Women's League 1 and 2.
With the right move from Madam Pang and FAT, Thai clubs from Thai League 1 to Thai League 3 are all benefiting financially.
Accordingly, from the 2025-2026 season, clubs from Thai League 1 to Thai League 3 will receive payments worth 400 million Baht/season.
Each of the 16 Thai League 1 teams will receive 15 million Baht (total of 240 million baht), 18 T2 teams will receive 4 million Baht per team (72 million Baht) and 70 T3 teams will each pocket 1.25 million Baht (86.5 million Baht).
Also related to Thai football, the efforts of the majority of Thai League 1 clubs to establish a new company to handle all tournament-related issues have not been FAT approved. The activities of Thai League are still under the management of Thai League Co., Ltd.
FAT also confirmed that the Thai League 1 tournament will not be suspended during the 33rd SEA Games, taking place from December 9 to 20, 2025.
However, some Thai League 2 and 3 matches can be rescheduled if the teams have many players called up to the national team.
The SEA Games men's football tournament is for players aged U23. The last time Thailand won a gold medal at the SEA Games was in 2017 in Malaysia.
