Vietnamese football has lost one more person - coach Phan Thanh Hung, at an age when his values and experiences in both theory and practice should have contributed for many more years. The 66-year-old coach, in the eyes of many people, is one of the monuments of Vietnamese football.
His contributions, no matter what position, are valuable, but those in his relationship, those who have observed for many years, can draw some things from him about work and life: Kindness, beautiful football and eagerness to learn.
Also because of this, he left certain values in the places he went through. But the important thing is, will those philosophies, those ideas, once affirmed to be suitable for Vietnamese football, be connected to another thread?
In life, everyone will go through loss - not just once but many times, but when life with those left behind continues, the sadness cannot last forever, the important thing is to turn the pain into pride, promote the values that the deceased leave behind.
It can be professional factors, it can be lifestyle, it can be human philosophy... anything valuable that those who remain feel, make it a part of your life or work. It can also be an act of honoring and remembering your teacher, brother, friend, comrade.
Loss will be more frightening if over time, it falls into oblivion. It is when the beautiful values of life, the right philosophies that they dedicated their whole lives to building are buried by dust. From the football field to life, what remains is not keeping monuments in mind, but the continuation, distillation, and practice of decent lessons from them in work and how to treat people every day.
Hopefully, among those who have been exposed, among generations of students who have inherited views and philosophies from those who have passed away, there will be someone who can understand and contribute to Vietnamese football with similar positive values, suitable for the era to develop.
