According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee, indoor volleyball at ASIAD 20 will be played at two locations: Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium and Park Arena Komaki in Nagoya (Japan).
3 years ago at ASIAD 19, Vietnamese Sports only participated in 1 volleyball event of the Games, which was women's indoor volleyball. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team ranked 4th.
From May 25, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team gathered for training to prepare for the AVC Cup 2026 taking place in the Philippines from June 6 to June 14. Initially, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has only trained 14 players.
After the ASIAD 20 draw results are available, volleyball teams will know their opponents and professional preparation will be carried out most thoroughly.
Before the ASIAD 20 volleyball event kicks off, the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship will host the women's event in China from August 21 to August 30 and the men's event from September 4 to September 13. This is an opportunity for teams to grasp opponents before participating in ASIAD 20.
