LMHT is divided into many regions around the world, in which each region usually has a female MC representing the image.
At MSI 2019 held in Vietnam, home country fans had the opportunity to admire the typical beauty of each region that these MCs bring.
One of the most prominent is Sjokz of LEC ( Europe). The 31-year-old Belgian girl, despite having 2 master's degrees in hand, still put everything aside to pursue her passion for LMHT. To date, Sjokz has had 7 years as a female MC in Europe and major tournaments around the world.
- How do you think Vietnamese fans at MSI this time? Are they as enthusiastic as any other tournament you have ever set foot in Europe or North America?
"I found it great! The fans in Vietnam are very enthusiastic, bustling and especially extremely affectionate and passionate about LMHT.
The atmosphere here is as vibrant and exciting as in other regions around the world".
- What do you think about being an MC for eSports being similar and different from traditional sports?
"I have never been able to take on the role of MC for other traditional sports like football. Therefore, I think I have no basis to compare.
However, I always hope that there will be more and more female MCs not only in eSport but also in other sports. In recent years, in addition to men, many women have also appeared as MCs, BLVs or analysts of sports. That is a good sign".
- Is the profession of MC eSport a job you plan to pursue for the rest of your life or just a passion of youth?
"I want to pursue it as long as possible. Although I have been involved in LMHT for 7 years, I always feel like a rookie.
I am not sure how long LMHT will last, but as long as this sport is developed and interested, I will still appear and work with it".
- How does LMHT bring about changes in your life when now, fame is the most noticeable thing from Sjokz?
In my opinion, fame is good, but everything has two sides and honestly, it is not the destination I want.
When you are famous, you are more likely to be judged and scrutinized by others, and I am sure no one is interested in this. MCs like me or the players have been experiencing that feeling.
- Do you plan to find a boyfriend who is a coach or a player of LMHT?
"So interesting! I don't know yet, fate. Maybe, maybe not, just live happily and wait."
- When you arrived in Vietnam this time, did you know much about our country?
"Before, I didn't know much about Vietnam, but since coming here, every experience has been wonderful.
Before getting on the plane to get here, I spent a lot of time reading documents about the country and people of Vietnam. It is difficult to put into words what I have admired in the past few days.
It is a bit of a pity that my health does not allow me to go here more. I like to go to Ho Chi Minh City, like to sit on a boat to drift and experience the Mekong River. Along with that, Ha Long Bay is a destination I have long long dreamed of.
Therefore, when returning to Europe, I will make a specific plan with my friends to be able to return to Vietnam as soon as possible.
