From 8:00 a.m. on November 30, the organizing committee of the Viettel Marathon 2024 Vietnam leg opened the Expo area, distributed Bib and Race Kit at My Dinh National Stadium.
10,000 registered athletes created a vibrant atmosphere at the tournament's Expo area. In addition, the Expo day also saw the participation of Viettel The Cong players such as Nham Manh Dung, Dang Tuan Phong, Nguyen Cong Phuong and Nguyen Duc Chien.
In particular, on Expo day, German expert Karl Gunter Lange of the Vietnamese athletics team shared about modern endurance training methods and physical foundation development to help improve efficiency when running 10km, half marathon and full marathon off-road events.
Viettel Marathon 2024 is a prestigious sporting event organized by the Asian Athletics Federation, the Vietnam Athletics Federation and the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group in collaboration with the Cambodian Athletics Federation and the Lao Athletics Federation in 3 countries: Laos (November 3, 2024), Vietnam (December 1, 2024) and Cambodia (December 22, 2024).
Viettel Marathon Hanoi - Vietnam 2024 promises to be hot on the advanced track with the participation of athletes from the national athletics teams of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.
The 42km men’s advanced category will be an exciting race between Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Van Lai, Trinh Quoc Luat and the marathon record holder from Malaysia - Muhaizar Mohamad. Meanwhile, the “golden girl” Nguyen Thi Oanh will seek a record in the 21km distance.
Tomorrow (December 1), the Viettel Marathon Vietnam leg will take place with distances of 41km, 21km, 10km and 5km with the starting and finishing route at My Dinh Stadium, passing through 6 districts of Hanoi.
Previously, the Luang Prabang (Laos) stage had about 5,000 athletes participating. The final stage of Viettel Marathon 2024 in Siem Reap (Cambodia) will take place at the famous Angkor Wat relic complex on December 22.
