In the final match taking place on the afternoon of May 10, under the enthusiastic cheers of home fans, Yen Sinh started well with many accurate shots. The Vietnamese female player led 15-5 after the first half.
Entering the 2nd round, Lee Yu Na with a 6-point series gradually narrowed the gap to 18-24. However, Yen Sinh still played bravely to win the overall 30-19 after 35 turns, thereby winning the Asian championship 2026. This is also the first time in history that Vietnamese billiards has a female billiard player who is a continental champion.
Previously, Yen Sinh played excellently to eliminate strong players from Korea. In the semi-finals, the female player from Ho Chi Minh City defeated defending champion Heo Chae Won (Korea) with a score of 30-12 after 22 turns. In the quarterfinals, Yen Sinh defeated Baek Ga In with a score of 30-25.
Meanwhile, in the final of the singles carom event, Pham Canh Phuc won the championship after a overwhelming 100-42 victory after 14 sets against Mori Yoichirou (Japan). In the final of the U22 singles carom event taking place at the same time, defending champion Kim Do Hyun showed his class with a dribbling shot scored 14 points, leading 21-4 after the first half.
In the second half, although Dinh Trong Van significantly narrowed the gap to 24-36, Kim Do Hyun still won the overall 40-28 after 25 sets. The runner-up title was also a great success for Dinh Trong Van.
The 14th Asian Carom Billiards Championship in 2026 takes place from May 7-10 at Ho Xuan Huong Gymnasium (Xuan Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The tournament is hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports together with the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (HBSF) through the authorization of the Asian Carom Billiards Federation (ACBC) and the National Federation under the main sponsorship of Hollywood.
The tournament competes in 4 categories including: Men's 3-band Carom, Men's U22 3-band Carom, Women's 3-band Carom and Men's 1-band Carom, gathering the best professional players in the continent from Vietnam to Korea, Japan... Previously in the men's 3-band Carom category, Bao Phuong Vinh won the runner-up title.
