On the morning of March 30, the 66th Tien Phong National Marathon and Long Distance Championship - 2025 (Tien Phong Marathon 2025) took place in Quang Tri.
The first was the race on the 10km race with the participation of many prominent faces such as Do Quoc Luat, Le Tien Long, Nguyen Viet Ai... These athletes competed with each other in the first stage, sometimes Viet Ai took the lead but Quoc Luat immediately reclaimed their position.
In the second half of the route, despite the cold rain, the group still tried their best. Do Quoc Luat faced fierce competition from his junior Viet Ai with a steady and determined pace.
In the last few hundred meters, as usual, Do Quoc Luat accelerated to have an impressive sprint, surpassing his teammates and finishing first with a time of 30 minutes and 44 seconds. This is also the 11th consecutive time the male athlete has won the championship in the 10km distance.
Closing the tournament, Quoc Luat said: "This year is the first year that Tien Phong Marathon is without Mr. Bui Luong, a monument of the tournament as well as Vietnam's athletics. For many years, Mr. Bui Luong has always devoted himself to imparting knowledge, passion as well as becoming an example of discipline and perseverance.
Now that he has gone far, I want to continue to pass on the fire to the next generation, encouraging them to actively practice properly to have good health to contribute more to society and the country.
I am very happy to run with young athletes, share with them what I have experienced, encourage them to create new records, promote the movement, and develop Vietnamese sports".
