Nguyen Thuy Linh was shortly in the group of 20 strongest women's badminton players in the world and at that time she was relegated.

The World Badminton Federation (BWF) announced the latest rankings on July 29.

Nguyen Thuy Linh has dropped 3 places, thereby falling to 21st place on the world rankings. A week ago, Nguyen Thuy Linh rose to 18th place in the world, this was the highest position in her career.

Nguyen Thuy Linh's failure to maintain her position in the group of the world's top 20 badminton players is understandable because she has not competed in any international tournaments recently.

In August, Nguyen Thuy Linh will go to France to compete in the 2025 Badminton World Championship. This is a tournament that brings together the world's top players. If Thuy Linh achieves good results, she will improve her ranking at BWF.

According to the coaching staff of the Vietnam Badminton Team, Nguyen Thuy Linh, who is in the top 20 players in the world, will have a certain advantage when drawing for the 2025 World Championship.

In the BWF world rankings, player Nguyen Hai Dang maintained the same position as 60th in men's singles while Le Duc Phat was at 61st.

These two players also won an official spot at the 2025 Badminton World Championship and will go to France with Nguyen Thuy Linh. The tournament takes place from August 25 to 31.
