The World Badminton Federation (BWF) has just announced a list of players eligible to participate in the 2025 World Championship, held in France and Vietnam, with 6 tournaments.

In the women's singles event, the two representatives of Vietnam are Nguyen Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang. Thuy Linh is currently the No. 1 female tennis player in Vietnam, ranked 20th in the world and has just won the runner-up position at the Canada Open under the BWF World Tour Super 300 system.

Meanwhile, Vu Thi Trang received a special allowance from BWF. Although she has not competed much recently, she still maintains a high ranking in the country and has a lot of experience in international competitions.

The men's singles event features Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat. Both players are in the world's top 100 and have stable achievements in the international competition system.

In addition, the men's doubles Tran Dinh Manh - Nguyen Dinh Hoang will also participate in the tournament thanks to special offers, after winning the Vietnam International Challenge 2025.

Compared to the most recent World Championship in 2023, when Vietnam only had 2 representatives, the number of players participating this year has increased by 3, reflecting the improvement in ranking as well as international competition results of Vietnamese players.

Up to now, the highest achievement of Vietnamese badminton at the World Championship is still the bronze medal in the men's singles event of Nguyen Tien Minh in 2013.
