The Japan Football Association (JFA) homepage has shared interesting information about the country's women's futsal team. Accordingly, the team's coach is Takehiro Suga, who has led the team since 2021.
He applied the concept of admiration and empathy to the team, aiming to create a team that not only wins in matches but is also admired by everyone and will be sympathized and supported by everyone.
Aiming to win the championship and qualify for the World Cup, the Japanese women's team has called up more than 40 players, trained in countries such as Spain, Portugal and Thailand, and organized domestic training sessions to promote and strengthen this concept.

Since Suga took over as coach, the Japanese women's team has only lost 1 match against Asian teams. That was the 1-3 loss to the Thai women's team on the evening of May 11.
During the tour to Portugal in March 2024, the women's team faced the three strongest teams in the world and surprised the world with their first 2-0 victory over European champion Spain.
At this year's Asian tournament, the Japanese women's team set a slogan "let's become the hardest person in the world". Accordingly, the team is determined to fight with all their might and use the playing style to maximize team spirit, diligence and perseverance which are characteristics of the Japanese players.
