Two shooters Nguyen Thuy Trang and Trinh Thu Vinh are believed to achieve good results in the women's 10m air pistol event at the 2026 World Cup (ISSF World Cup 2026) currently competing in Munich (Germany). Unfortunately, both were unsuccessful.
In the qualifying round of the event held on May 29, local time, the Vietnamese shooting team had Thuy Trang, Trinh Thu Vinh, Trieu Thi Hoa Hong participating in the women's 10m air pistol.
Shooter Thuy Trang achieved 579 points, ranking 5th, while Thu Vinh had 576 points, ranking 15th, and Hoa Hong had 561 points, ranking 85th.
Shooter Thuy Trang reached the final of the event. In the final, Thuy Trang did not compete until the final shots and stopped at 7th place with a result of 138.7 points.
The women's 10m air pistol event is a key event of the Vietnamese shooting team preparing for ASIAD 20. Last year, Thuy Trang and Thu Vinh were the top 2 shooters in the individual shootout final of this event at SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
Also at the 2026 World Cup in Germany, shooters Ha Minh Thanh and Pham Quang Huy competed in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event but did not reach the final.
The competition program in Germany lasts until May 31. The Vietnamese shooting team still has a chance to compete for medal results if the shooter maintains their concentration and best form. Vietnamese shooting participates with 15 shooters in this tournament.
