In 2025, Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy won the gold medal in the mixed-use 10m handball pistol competition for men and women in this tournament.
Trinh Thu Vinh is the shooter with the best professional results of the Vietnam Shooting Team at the 33rd SEA Games.
In Thailand, she won 4 gold medals (10m individual air pistol women's team, women's team; 25m individual sports pistol women's team, women's team) and broke 3 SEA Games records.
These are the first gold medals in Trinh Thu Vinh's competitive career in the Southeast Asian Games arena. In addition, at the 33rd SEA Games, she also won the silver medal in the 10m mixed-use pistol event for the men's and women's team (competing with Pham Quang Huy).
On the rankings of the Asian Shooting Federation announced on December 22, Trinh Thu Vinh has risen to the top of the women's 25m sports pistol event. She is the only shooter from Vietnam to top an Asian rankings at the moment.
