Today, August 29, tennis players enter the 2026 National Excellent Young, Teenager, and Children's Table Tennis Tournament according to age groups including 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21, 21-22 and 22-23.
Players compete in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles events.
This is one of the opportunities for young table tennis athletes across the country to show their expertise and achieve achievements.
Notably, the tournament features the presence of the defending women's singles champion of the X-2026 National Sports Festival table tennis, player Tran Mai Ngoc.
Tran Mai Ngoc has been registered by the People's Police Team T&T to participate in 3 events including women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles in the 22-23 age group in this tournament.
Currently, Tran Mai Ngoc is the No. 1 female tennis player in Vietnam.
She defeated senior Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh in the women's singles table tennis final of the X-2026 National Sports Festival to win the championship in her career.
Before the 2026 National Excellent Young, Teenager, and Children's Table Tennis Tournament kicked off, the Organizing Committee held a professional meeting and technical draw for all contents of the tournament.
According to registration, the entire tournament has more than 350 players participating. The competition program will close on September 3rd.
