This achievement shows the effectiveness of the model combining industry sports and socialized resources from businesses.
The tournament in Hai Phong is also counted as achievements in the program of the X National Sports Games. CAND ranked first overall, above Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The 3 gold medals of CAND belonged to the men's pair Dinh Anh Hoang - Le Dinh Duc, men's singles Dinh Anh Hoang and women's singles Tran Mai Ngoc. Owning both men's and women's singles champions is a memorable milestone for CAND table tennis at the Games.
Double in two prestigious events
In men's singles, Dinh Anh Hoang entered the final to meet Doan Ba Tuan Anh of Hai Phong, who once defeated him 3-0 in the team event. However, in the gold medal match, the CAND player won 4-0 to defend the championship.
Mr. Hoang said that the whole team has gone through a long training period, under a lot of pressure and always wants to play well to meet expectations. "Pressure creates diamonds," he said.

In women's singles, Tran Mai Ngoc surpassed many strong opponents before defeating Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh 4-1 in the final. According to Mai Ngoc, the training and rubbing process in China helped her improve her fitness, accumulate experience and be more confident in big matches.
Hoang Tra My was awarded the title of promising young female athlete. Head coach Vu Manh Cuong said that many young athletes have become significantly more mature after a long preparation process.
According to the initial plan, in 2026, the CAND - T&T table tennis team will focus on two arenas: the National People's Newspaper Championship and table tennis at the National Sports Festival. The team will train in China from March 28 to May 14.
However, when the team is training, the domestic schedule changes when the National Championship is included in the Congress program and held in August. This poses a problem about the peak performance.
The coaching staff reported the professional plan to the leaders of T&T Group. Based on the proposal, Chairman of T&T Group Do Quang Hien decided to continue to allocate resources for the team to have more than 2 months of training in China, from June 13 to August 14, close to the competition time.

In the second training session, athletes were moved and trained in many localities, met with many "sparring partners" groups and participated in friendly tournaments. Constantly facing opponents with different techniques, speeds and styles helps athletes improve their adaptability, adjust tactics and competitive bravery.
Long trips are also a mental challenge. Sometimes athletes miss home, are tired, even "bored with football". Coach Vu Manh Cuong said that the initial goal was 2 gold medals, but the team exceeded the target with 3 gold medals.
Notably, the athletes still maintained their spirit after the defeat in the team event.
You have not lost yourself even when you did not win a gold medal in the team event. Athletes still maintain their spirit and bravery to regain their form," coach Vu Manh Cuong assessed.
The value of training trips is not only reflected in the final achievements. For young players, a high-level training environment also helps them mature in psychology, competition thinking and the ability to handle difficult situations. This is also the reason why many CAND athletes show clear progress when returning to compete in Hai Phong.
Modern combination model
On May 23, 2024, the Vietnam People's Police Sports Association and T&T Group signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in selecting and training table tennis athletes to participate in domestic and international tournaments. Since then, the CAND - T&T Table Tennis Club has been formed on the basis of combining the strengths of both sides.
According to coach Vu Manh Cuong, the Ministry of Public Security creates conditions for accommodation and training facilities; the People's Police Sports Association accompanies in organization, creating a stable operating environment; T&T Group ensures resources for training, competition and professional requirements.

The combination of one side being the state and one side being the private sector brings many advantages, supporting each other in terms of both funding and infrastructure," coach Vu Manh Cuong commented.
The effectiveness of the model is shown through consecutive achievements: 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals at the 2024 national tournament; 3 gold medals in 2025 and the first place overall in 2026.
The coordination is not simply businesses "sponsoring" sports. The Police sector and the Association create an organizational foundation, a disciplined environment, facilities and competition goals; businesses supplement socialized resources, investment capacity for training and athlete regimes. Two complementary resources.
Two Chinese training trips are clear examples. When the schedule changes, the coaching staff determines professional needs; industry and associations create conditions to adjust plans; businesses promptly supplement resources for new plans to be implemented. The ultimate effectiveness is measured by the progress of athletes and achievements on the table.
After the tournament, coach Vu Manh Cuong thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam People's Police Sports Association and T&T Group, especially Chairman Do Quang Hien, for their concern and creating conditions for the team to have long-term, quality training sessions in China.
The 9 medals in Hai Phong are not only achievements, but also show the effectiveness of combining the strengths of the sports industry with socialized resources, creating a foundation for sustainable development.
The further goal is to train athletes who are strong enough to compete at SEA Games, ASIAD and international arenas, contributing to Vietnamese sports.
