Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh surpassed many other faces to lead the election of outstanding athletes and coaches nationwide in 2025.

Recently, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports announced the results of the "National Outstanding Athlete and Coach of 2025" election.

In the category of typical athlete, Trinh Thu Vinh led with a superior score (1272). The shooter born in 2000 had an impressive year of competition when she won 4 gold medals and broke 3 records at SEA Games 33, while maintaining stable form in international tournaments.

Ranked 2nd is athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh of the Vietnamese athletics team. Despite adjusting her competition strategy, not participating in the familiar 1,500m distance, Nguyen Thi Oanh still affirmed her position when winning an important gold medal in the 5,000m, 10,000m and 3,000m hurdles events at SEA Games 33.

Nguyen Dinh Bac ranked third in the list, making his mark as a pillar of the U22 Vietnam team winning the SEA Games 33 gold medal and the U23 Southeast Asian championship.
