In the match between Industrial and Passos in the retired Passense League, Brazil, those present on the field almost witnessed a murder when the main referee intended to pay the players after the collision between the two.
Referee Camilo Eustaquio de Souza, now a police officer, had a conflict with player Marcos Lopes Vieira after he imposed a penalty on him. When unable to resolve the conflict, Souza returned to the pitch, holding a sung and a handcuff in his back and into the court. However, immediately after that, the coaching staff of both teams rushed to stop Mr. Souza to avoid unfortunate consequences.
After the match, referee Souza still affirmed that his actions were not wrong even though it is possible that today, his 2-year ban from holding a horn will be carried out.
"That player's actions were really excessive, far beyond the limit. I'm in control of the game and everything has to be under my control.
I act like that as a police officer, I have the right to arrest a citizen who is attacking me," souza shared.
