Pre-match information

The U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team will participate in the VTV Cup 2025 under the leadership of coach Nguyen Trong Linh. The team currently owns the most talented young players in Vietnamese women's volleyball such as Dang Thi Hong, Bao Ngoc, Anh Thao, Quynh Huong, Yen Nhi...

Blocker Bao Ngoc shared: "The U21 Vietnam players are hardly under much pressure, comfortable because the team does not focus on achievements in this year's tournament. Competing with strong teams, including national teams, will help me and my teammates learn more experience and competitive spirit.

In the recent training sessions, head coach Nguyen Trong Linh has trained us in physical strength and tactics, especially focusing on defense and first-step catching. I am happy to meet any opponent because young players like us will have the opportunity to rub shoulders and learn more from their seniors".

The players have spent a long time practicing together. According to coach Trong Linh, U21 Vietnam is trying to get into the final match. In fact, because the Vietnamese youth team has to compete with teams that are rated higher, in general, the players are still mentally comfortable because they are not focused on achievements.

On the other side, Taiwan (China) has just participated in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 in Dong Anh, Hanoi and won third place. According to the assessment of the head coach of the Vietnam women's volleyball team - Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, this is a team that, despite its modest height, plays at a low level with a fast pace and flexible transformation.

In particular, in the Taiwan (China) squad, there is a talented setter Liao Yi Jen, who is agile and varies the passing line well. Therefore, U21 Vietnam needs to focus and seize the opportunity to play well against this opponent.
