U21 Vietnam wants to enter the VTV Cup final
Today (6.6), the U21 Vietnam team arrived in Vinh Phuc to prepare for the VTV Cup 2025 international volleyball tournament, starting at Vinh Phuc Stadium from June 28. Dang Thi Hong and her teammates had a friendly match with the national women's volleyball team to practice their physical strength and tactics before the tournament.
Head coach of U21 Vietnam - Mr. Nguyen Trong Linh said: "We also have our own goals and will strive to find a ticket to the final. However, the tournament has many teams with good professional preparation, so young Vietnamese players will try their best in each match".
In his squad, coach Nguyen Trong Linh has the best young players of Vietnamese women's volleyball. With any result achieved at VTV Cup 2025, the most important thing for U21 Vietnam is that players learn from experience to prepare for the upcoming U21 World Championship.
7 teams participating in VTV Cup arrive in Vietnam
On June 26, 7 teams were present in Vinh Phuc, ready to compete from June 28. The defending champion Korabelka (Russia) will arrive on the morning of June 28.
The teams were warmly welcomed, hospitalized and rested before being arranged time to get acquainted with the field and practice.
It is known that the players of the 8 teams are all in high spirits and have good physical strength to prepare for the tournament. The 6 foreign guest teams also expressed their joy at receiving affection and a warm welcome from the organizing committee and host Vietnam.
Thailand is not allowed to score points in SEA V.League
SEA V.League is a tournament for the top teams of volleyball in Southeast Asia. The tournament is accumulated points by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) on the regional rankings.
However, because the Thai women's volleyball team has competed in the VNL (Nations League 2025), they will not be counted for world ranking points when participating in the SEA V.League 2025.
Therefore, the teams competing with Thailand in the SEA V.League, including the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, will not be able to accumulate points in matches against the team from the land of the Golden Temple.
