The 2025 National U23 Volleyball Tournament is entering a period of exciting competition with the participation of many strong teams in both men's and women's events. This is considered a tournament with high professional quality at the youth level, a place to practice and discover potential faces for the future of Vietnamese volleyball.
In the men's event, the participating teams include The Cong Tan Cang, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Khanh Hoa. Meanwhile, the women's event witnessed the presence of a series of clubs with many achievements and potential such as Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Hung Yen, Information Corps, Duc Giang Chemicals, Vinh Phuc, Dak Lak and Bac Ninh.
In recent years, Vietnamese youth volleyball has witnessed the remarkable maturity of many young athletes. Many people who have made their mark in the National U23 tournament such as Kieu Trinh, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh... have later risen to become pillars in the national team.
At this year's tournament, many promising faces continue to receive special attention such as Dang Thi Hong (Thai Nguyen), Phuong Quynh (Vietinbank), Bich Hue (Information Corps), Dinh Thi Van (Bac Ninh). These are all young players who are showing clear progress in their expertise and competitive spirit.
Not only a title race, the National U23 tournament also has a special meaning for Vietnamese youth volleyball. The tournament took place right at the time when the youth teams are in the process of reviewing their preparation for major tournaments, especially the 2025 U21 World Championship.
Therefore, every ball pass and performance at this playground is important. A representative of the coaching staff of the Vietnam U21 women's team affirmed: "We will closely monitor the performance of the athletes at the 2025 National U23 tournament. This is an important basis for evaluating the performance, competitive spirit and integration of each individual.
From here, the coaching staff can consider and build an optimal squad for the next training session, aiming to compete in the U21 World Championship, taking place in August. We will consider very carefully to choose the best lineup".
With increasingly methodical investment in the youth level of clubs, the 2025 National U23 Tournament is increasingly highly appreciated for its quality and role in the athlete selection system for national teams.
Expectations are placed on the shoulders of young athletes, not only in tournament achievements but also in maturity, courage and aspiration to express themselves. Surely, the talents of the U21 Vietnam team will be carefully selected from the tournament currently taking place in Thai Nguyen.
