On June 13, the two semi-final matches of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 volleyball tournament took place at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi.
The first match is between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and Kazakhstan. Against the defending runner-up, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet was very cautious, launching a strong lineup with two main attackers, Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team complied with the requirements of the coaching staff, deployed attack pieces and created an overwhelming game against the opponent in the first set.
However, Thanh Thuy and her teammates were discouraged in set 2 and let their opponents pass in this set. In the remaining two sets, the Vietnamese girls regained their spirit, played cohesively and won two sets in a row.
In the end, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team defeated Kazakhstan with a score of 3-1 to qualify for the final match.
The second semi-final match witnessed an exciting score struggle between Taiwan (China) and the Philippines. The Philippines created a better game and won the opponent in the first two sets.
It seemed that Solomon and his teammates easily closed the semi-final with a big win, but the Taiwanese girls (China) regained their spirit and played brilliantly to equalize 2-2.
However, in the decisive set, the Philippines was still the team with more courage to win. In the end, the Philippines beat Taiwan (China) with a score of 3-2 to face the Vietnam women's volleyball team in the final.
The final match between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Philippines will take place at 8:00 p.m. on June 14.
