The two women's volleyball teams of Vietnam and Spain met in a friendly match at Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi).

Volleyball fans in Dong Anh (Hanoi) witnessed an exciting friendly match between host Vietnam and the visiting Spanish team on the evening of August 17.

The match between the two teams is part of a training program between Vietnam, Spain and Kenya to prepare for the 2025 World Championship.

Determining this to be a test match against an opponent with a skillful playing style from Europe, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet took each player to the field to compete and accumulate expertise.

In all three of the first matches, the coaching staff trusted Vi Nhu Quynh as the main striker on the field.

At times, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet changed the setter positions between Doan Thi Lam Oanh and Vo Thi Kim Thoa and brought Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh or Nguyen Thi Uyen onto the field.

However, the Vietnamese female players were inaccurate in many first-step defense or rear defense situations. Therefore, we have difficulty against Spanish players.

Taking advantage of this weakness of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team, the Spanish players scored accurately to win.

The friendly match will organize a four-game competition. Although the Spanish team took the lead over host Vietnam in the first three games, the players from both sides continued to compete in the fourth game with a professional level of play.

The match ended in a score of 4-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20, 26-24) in favor of the Spanish team. After this match, each team will continue to play one of their remaining matches.

On August 18, the Spanish team will meet the Kenyan team, while we will play against the Kenyan team on August 19
