Preparing for the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam women's futsal team is on a training trip in Hangzhou (China) from November 28. After 2 days of training, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team had their first friendly match against the Chinese women's futsal team in Hangzhou on the afternoon of November 30.
With both teams in the process of strong rejuvenation, the match took place at a high pace right from the first minutes. The Vietnam women's futsal team was the team that opened the score first after a surprise finish by goalkeeper Tran Thi Hai Yen. However, the home team China promptly scored an equalizer, ending the first half with a score of 1-1.
In the second half, Vietnam took the lead again thanks to a goal by Tran Thi Thu Xuan. However, the Chinese team quickly equalized 2-2. This was also the final result of the match.
Evaluating the performance of his students, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: After the domestic training process, the players' mentality was a bit tense when competing with strong opponents in Asia such as the Chinese women's futsal team. In the first half, the players did not catch up well, but the second half improved with a 2-2 draw. The coaching staff will learn from experience to help the whole team operate better in the upcoming rematch".
On December 2, the two teams will meet again in the second friendly match. After that, the Vietnam women's futsal team will return to Ho Chi Minh City to complete the final preparations before leaving for Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
