On the morning of February 4th, after losing 2-3 to the host Indonesia in the quarter-finals, the Vietnamese futsal team packed their luggage and divided into two groups to leave Jakarta. The group of members from the Northern region took a flight to Hanoi at 1:00 PM, while the group from the South returned to Ho Chi Minh City on a flight departing at 2:40 PM on the same day.
Returning to Vietnam, the players will take a break to celebrate Tet Nguyen Dan with their families. Based on the overall assessment of the team's performance at the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship Finals, the coaching staff is expected to conduct a professional review, draw experience and develop a personnel plan for the next training camp. The key goal of the Vietnamese futsal team in the coming time is the 2026 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship, scheduled to take place in Thailand in April.

According to the plan, the team may have personnel adjustments to ensure team balance, while improving professional quality, aiming for positive results in the regional arena.
Previously, immediately after the match with Indonesia, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Anh Tu had a meeting, encouraged and acknowledged the efforts of the players. VFF leaders highly appreciated the efforts of the whole team, especially in the context of having to play under great pressure from about 10,000 home fans.
Vice Chairman Tran Anh Tu also requested the coaching staff to soon organize assessments and draw comprehensive lessons, from expertise to organizational work, thereby developing a methodical preparation plan for the upcoming journey.
In addition, VFF leaders requested the players to enjoy the Tet holiday with their families with a comfortable spirit, but still need to maintain self-training awareness, maintain physical condition and form, and be ready to meet professional requirements when the Vietnamese futsal team gathers again.
