Vietnam women's team encouraged before the opening match of the Asian qualifiers

On the morning of June 29, leaders of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) had a meeting to encourage the spirit of the Vietnam women's team.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh - Head of the High Performance Sports Department, Department of Physical Education and Sports, and Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF, representatives of the professional departments of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and VFF. The meeting took place in an intimate, warm and exciting atmosphere before the team's important tournament.

At the meeting, coach Mai Duc Chung reported on the team's training and professional preparation process, and expressed the strong determination of the whole team before entering the journey to compete for a ticket to the continental finals.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF acknowledged the positive signals from the young force: "I am very happy to see young players catching up quickly, being the expected next generation for the younger generation. Although the upcoming opponents are all in good physical condition, I believe the whole team will have an effective solution. The spirit of discipline in the team's activities is also something that makes the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation very assured".

On the side of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh emphasized: Women's football has always been of interest in the development strategies of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and VFF. In sports, the psychological factor plays a very important role. Hopefully you will stay calm, confident and compete steadily".

The match between the Vietnamese women's team and the Maldives women's team in Group E of the 2026 Asian Cup Women's qualifiers will take place at 7:00 p.m. tonight (June 29) at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho province).
