Vietnam women's team strives to win the top spot in Group E in the Asian qualifiers

According to coach Mai Duc Chung, the Vietnam women's team is trying to win the top spot in Group E in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship qualifiers.

On the morning of June 27, at the accommodation hotel of the Vietnam women's team during the qualifying round of the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship - Group E, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu visited and encouraged the whole team before the official competition day.

Previously, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu also directly inspected the venue, including Phu Tho Provincial Hospital and Viet Tri Stadium - the main competition venue of Group E, to ensure the best conditions for participating teams and the professional quality of the tournament.

Speaking at the meeting this morning, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu affirmed: "National teams are always one of the top priorities of VFF leaders. For the Vietnam women's team, we always hope to create the best conditions for the players to practice and compete with peace of mind.

Today I am very happy and assured to see the serious preparation spirit and high determination of the whole team. Hopefully, the players will maintain their form and show their mettle to affirm the position of Vietnamese women's football in the continental playground.

Wishing the team good results in this tournament and other important tasks in 2025".

On the side of the Vietnam women's team, head coach Mai Duc Chung reported on the team's training trip to Japan. Mr. Chung said that this was a valuable training trip, the whole team had the opportunity to compete with quality teams to learn and practice.

In addition, the conditions for living and drinking have improved significantly. After returning to Phu Tho, the whole team has gotten used to the weather and the field. Up to this point, all preparations are very good and the whole team will try their best with the goal of winning the top spot in Group E.

On behalf of the players, striker Huynh Nhu thanked the VFF and local organizers for their attention and support, and said that the whole team was determined to compete with all their might for the national flag.

The 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship E qualifying round will take place from June 29 to July 5 in Viet Tri, Phu Tho, with the participation of the Vietnam women's team and opponents UAE, Maldives and Guam.
