Overseas Vietnamese player says goodbye to Vietnam women's team

Overseas Vietnamese player Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi is not on the list of Vietnam women's team participating in the 2026 Asian qualifiers.

On June 26, the Vietnam women's team officially announced the list of 23 players participating in the qualifying round of the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship - Group E, taking place in Viet Tri, Phu Tho from June 29 to July 5.

The three athletes not on this list include Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi, Ho Thi Thanh Thao.

During the same day's training session, the team continued to practice professional events such as set pieces, organizing ball passes to put pressure on opponents, and coordinating group tactics.

Before entering the training session, head coach Mai Duc Chung reminded and encouraged the whole team to stay healthy, focus on eating, resting and living reasonably to be in the best physical condition towards the tournament.

With a young force combined with experience and high determination, the Vietnam women's team is aiming to win the top spot in the group to win a ticket to the finals of the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship.
