On the afternoon of September 11, the Vietnamese women's team moved from Shanghai (China) to Japan. The flight landed at Nagoya airport at about 4:00 PM (local time).
After completing entry procedures and work related to the match card, the whole team continued to move to the Kakegawa Grand Hotel in Shizuoka Prefecture. The distance from Nagoya airport to the base is about 2 hours.

Before going to Japan, the Vietnamese women's team went through a long preparation period with friendly matches in Hanoi and a training trip in Suzhou (China).
During the training period in China, coach Hoang Van Phuc and his team played 2 matches. The Vietnamese women's team won against Jiangsu club with a score of 1-0, before losing to the Chinese women's team 0-3.
The matches are considered an opportunity for the coaching staff to assess the force, adjust tactics and help players gain more experience before the continental tournament.
After a long journey, the members of the Vietnamese women's team still maintain a positive spirit. The team will have time to settle down and prepare for the first match at ASIAD 2026.
According to the draw results, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group A with host Japan, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.
The Vietnamese women's team will meet Taiwan (China) in the opening match on September 14. After that, the team will successively face Japan on September 17 and Thailand on September 21.
With the preparation in the past time, the Vietnamese women's team sets a goal to compete hard, aiming for positive results at ASIAD 2026.
