Bui Thi Kim Anh is 1 of 2 athletes of the Vietnamese athletics team competing in the high jump event at the 2026 Asian Championships (for the jump event) competing in China.
On the first day of competition of the tournament, Bui Thi Kim Anh only achieved a result of 1m69. The result could not help her get a medal.
Last year, Kim Anh won a gold medal in the high jump at SEA Games 33 in Thailand with a result of 1m89. Previously, Kim Anh was also unsuccessful at the 2026 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships and the 2026 Asian Beach Games.
Also competing in the women's high jump event at the 2026 Asian Championships (for the jump event) was Duong Thi Thao, and she reached a height of 1m75, ranking 5th. In this year's tournament, the women's high jump champion is the player of the Uzbekistan national team with a height of 1m83.
