The coaching staff of the Vietnamese wushu team aims to strive to win a medal at the 2026 World Wushu Cup (taolu event).
We sent 3 important players to participate in this tournament held in China, including Duong Thuy Vi, Le Quang Huy, Nguyen Van Sy.
The last time Duong Thuy Vi competed internationally was SEA Games 33 in Thailand last year. However, she did not win a medal.
This year, Duong Thuy Vi is still one of the taolu events players of the Vietnamese wushu team actively preparing professionally towards ASIAD 20.
Thuy Vi's performance at the 2026 World Wushu Cup is considered a measure for the coaching staff to prepare for ASIAD 20.
The World Wushu Cup (taolu content) is held every 2 years.
In this tournament in 2024, Duong Thuy Vi won a silver medal in the swordplay performance. This year, she will focus on maintaining the results she had 2 years ago.
The Vietnamese wushu team will go to China today, July 4.
After that, Duong Thuy Vi and her teammates get acquainted with the competition venue before officially competing. The 2026 World Wushu Cup (taolu content) will compete for 22 sets of medals in groups for men and women and will officially take place on July 7 and July 8.
Many leading faces of Asian wushu will register to participate in this year's competition.
