This year, the 2026 World Youth Wushu Championships are held in China.
The World Wushu Federation has attracted nearly 700 athletes from 78 teams around the world to compete for medal sets for performance (taolu) and sparring (sanda).
In the late afternoon of March 30, the final matches of the tournament ended.
The young Vietnamese wushu athlete won 7 gold medals and 2 silver medals, 4 bronze medals. The achievement helped the Vietnamese youth wushu team rank 4th overall.
Ranked first at the tournament is the Hong Kong Youth Wushu Team (China) with a result of 13 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 6 bronze medals. The host Chinese Youth Wushu Team ranked second overall (13 gold medals, 4 silver medals). The Indonesian Team ranked third (9 gold medals, 11 silver medals, 7 bronze medals).
The achievement of 7 gold medals of the Vietnamese Youth Wushu Team was brought about by the competition results of taolu athletes including Luc An Hoa (male sword, age group C), Ha Gia Huy (male sword, age group B), Chu Tue Anh (Tai Chi sword 42, age group B), Nguyen Khac Le Hoang (Tai Chi sword No. 3, age group A) and sparring wrestler Tran Thi Bao Linh (48kg women), Ngo Duong Thuy (56kg women).
This year is the 10th time the World Youth Wushu Championships have taken place.
