On the morning of December 11, players of the Vietnam Wushu Team traveled to Bangkok (Thailand) to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
The members of the Vietnam Wushu Team competing in the 33rd SEA Games include: Duong Thuy Vi, Dang Tran Phuong Nhi, Nguyen Thi Hien, Nguyen Van Phuong, Nong Van Huu, Vu Van Tuan, Do Duc Tai, Nguyen Trong Lam, Phan Thi Tu Binh, Nguyen Le Chi, Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Truong Van Chuong, Ngo Thi Phuong Nga, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy.
At the 33rd SEA Games, Duong Thuy Vi was the oldest but also the most experienced player of the Vietnam Wushu Team.
The golden girl of Hanoi sports and Vietnamese wushu have won gold medals consecutively at the 31st and 32nd SEA Games.
This time, Duong Thuy Vi is determined to achieve the highest results at the 33rd SEA Games. However, some regulations in the competition regulations have been changed with the taolu (performance) content, so Duong Thuy Vi has carefully prepared before coming to Thailand.
The 33rd SEA Games wushu will organize 14 events for taolu (performance) and sanda (opponent). The Vietnamese wushu team participated in all 14 events.
Previously, wushu was scheduled to compete in Songkhla (Thailand) but the Organizing Committee changed the score due to weather factors. Wushu events at the 33rd SEA Games will take place in Bangkok (Thailand). The Vietnamese wushu team aims to strive to win 2 gold medals.
On the same day of December 11, the wushu team will depart for Thailand with the pencak silat, weightlifting, muay, and kickboxing teams. The travel schedule to the 33rd SEA Games for each team depends on the official competition program.
